History of our home from the Bangor Historical Society:This Grant Street home was first owned by Fred M. Hadley. Built in 1907, it's believed that Fred, a carpenter, built the home for his family. He was born in 1866 in Washington County. He married Christine Mcrae in 1892 in Machias. They had one daughter, Margaret. The Hadley's lived in the home until at least 1919. After that they lived on Center Street and another home on Grant Street. By 1930, Fred was living on Stillwater Ave with Margaret and her husband and Christine was a live-in servant on Boutelle Road.
